Lanzarote has three main resorts, these are Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca and Costa Teguise. Other than these resorts you can also stay in Puerto Calero which at the moment is a small harbour area and Arrecife which is the capital of Lanzarote.
Each of the main resorts have plenty of golden beaches and many different activities within them. Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca were once small fishing villages in Lanzarote so if you venture in to these town you will be able to see 'old' parts of

Puerto Del Carmen
This is the largest and busiest resort in Lanzarote. In this resort you will find over 5km of sandy beaches and more pubs, nightclubs and restaurants and you know what to do with.
Puerto Del Carmen also plays host to many events on the Island such as the Ironman, Carnival and the Fair.

This was once the main tourist resort of Lanzarote. Although not as popular as Puerto Del Carmen (popular in the number of tourists that visit) Costa Teguise can still offer a great holiday. They are many beaches to choose from all of which have golden sandy beaches. There
is also many pubs, nightclubs and restaurant to choose from making your holiday complete.

This was once just a very small fishing village in Lanzarote but over the years Playa Blanca has been building up to be one of the best resorts in Lanzarote. Although still smaller that the other resorts in Lanzarote this resort can still offer some great restaurants, bars and night
clubs. There is also a new marina in this once small fishing village which has some high class restaurants for people to choose from.

Puerto Calero has always been a very small resort which was mainly used as a harbour. With devolvement on the Island on the increase this has now became a very small resort. There is no official complex's here but it does offer one of the most modern Hotels on the Island.

Although Arrecife is not a place where tourist will go and stay for a holiday in Lanzarote. Arrecife is the capital of this small Island with plenty of activities for tourist. Getting around Arrecife is normally best on foot. The roads are very complicated and it's very easy to get lost in
the town centre. They are hundreds of shops to choose from and they are normally better prices that the main tourists areas.
